It has 176. And I can't do a flip through as I don't have it yet. It is still being printed

My style is more realistic but I love ❤️ this looser more painterly style. Maybe I'll be able to do this in a few more years ( I've only painted a couple years but it's about the journey 😊)

I think you are asking about the Princeton Aqua Elite round brush, size 3/0. All brushes except for the first brush are by the brand princeton. The first brush is a quil brush by winsor and newton.

These are Sandhill Cranes
Close! But these are in fact red-crowned cranes found in Asia. Sandhill cranes have more of a tannish-grey body with red above their eyes near their beak. Where these birds have mostly white bodies, with black on the wings and on their necks with a spot of red on the "crown" of their head.

Do you sketch your drawings from photographs or use a tech drawing tool?
I sketched this out with a pencil directly onto paper. Sometimes for more complex compositions I will create drawings on procreate and then transfer them onto paper

At one time I had one of these finches (I rescued them from a small cage in a pet shop). Did you know that Zebra finches are great surrogate birds (i.e. they will attend to/feed any bird's egg placed in their nest). As usual, your painting turned out lovely. Will your new book cover how to paint eyes?
No, I didn't know that. Very cool! Thank you, and yes my book will have a section in the beginning of the book that breaks down how to paint certain animal features such as eyes, beaks, fluffy tails, patterns and wings.

This hawk is STUNNING! So well done. Hope you will expand on this at some point to include what colours you used on the bird -- lots of what appears to be granulation going on. WELL DONE.
Raw umber, burnt sienna and paynes grey mainly. This painting is relatively old so I won't redo it but I have a similar tutorial in my upcoming book
